Thoughts of A Stripper

Whether you’ve just turned 21 or you’ve never had the experience of visiting a strip club, there are a few things you should know before indulging in Atlanta’s guilty pleasure. This is coming from a woman who knows her way around a strip club quite well. A little too well to be exact. After ten years of dancing (I started at the tender age of 18) a girl kind of comes up with a list of what she may affectionately call Strip Club Patron Etiquette. Most of it is common sense and one could really delve deeper into the mind of an “adult entertainer”, but this is just to scratch the surface. I’ll stress the words “common sense”, but you’d be so surprised (or maybe not) how often these things happen!

Tipping of course is not mandatory, but greatly appreciated. It is after all how dancers make their money. If you like her, give her a dollar, if you really like her, give her more. She’ll get lots of dollars, but she’ll always remember the guy who gave her the twenty!

Always ask her if she’d like a drink. What guy doesn’t want to get a girl drunk?? But you’d be surprised how often customers neglect to ask. Always remember, a happy stripper is a Good Stripper!

Look at her while she’s dancing for you. Nothing is more annoying than a customer who talks to his friends and looks around the room while he’s receiving a dance. It may be that they are shy…but if you want to get the most from your dancer, pay attention to her and you’ll get your money’s worth.

And lastly on my very short list, remember your manners. Dancers are women too and like to treated as such.

And whoever said you can’t turn a stripper into a housewife should really meet my husband. We met many years ago at the sadly long gone Taj Mahal. He was a customer and I, a dancer. Many years and two children later I’m living proof you can find true love in a strip club. You never know, you could be ogling your future wife…so BEHAVE and happy tipping!
